“Malcolm X was an eloquent spokesman for his point of view and no one can honestly doubt that Malcolm had a great concern for the problem that we face as a race While we did not always see eye to eye on methods to solve the race problem I always had a deep affection for Malcolm” — Dr. Martin Luther King Jr

” To come right down to it, if I take the kind of things in which I believe, then add to that the kind of temperament that I have, plus the one hundred per cent dedication that I have to whatever I believe in, these are ingredients which make it just about impossible for me to die of old age… I know those societies have often killed the people who have helped to change those societies. And if I can die having brought any light, having exposed any meaningful truth that will help to destroy the racist cancer that is malignant in America, then, all of the credit is due to Allah. Only the mistakes have been mine.”

Another day, another bizarre murder in our beautiful country. Seems that one Lawrence Wells not only murdered 17 victims over several decades but decided to dig up the bodies and build a macabre totem pole with them. Mr. Wells has been taken into custody and is currently awaiting trial pending the acceptance of his confession. In a twist of fate Mr. Well’s final victim, Joel Summers, turned out to be Mr. Well’s son. Apparently he thought that Mr. Summers was the child of a romantic rival. Mr. Well’s one act as a father was to destroy his own son.

What a sad and terrible story.
